Øy by Blå Kors er en kleskolleksjon som inneholder fine basics som passer året rundt, og alle inntekter går til arbeid for barn og ungdom. Derfor sier vi at plaggene gir deg god samvittighet. Du vet at du har gjort noe godt for dine medmennesker, og du kan vise dette til verden. Med Øy-tøy gjør du en forskjell samtidig som du ser bra ut!

For barn og ungdom er trygghet og mestring essensielt for å få en god oppvekst. Mange unge lever i utrygghet, i situasjoner med både rus, vold, mobbing og andre former for utenforskap. Blå Kors jobber hver dag med både barn og ungdom for å gi dem opplevelse av trygghet, mestring og mening gjennom aktiviteter, støttetjenester, terapi, nærvær og fellesskap.

Øy er et klesmerke fra Blå Kors i Kristiansand og hvert år når vi over 30.000 barn og unge i Norge. 

En oppvekst varer livet ut.

Gjennom gratis aktiviteter som f.eks. turer og ferier, sosiale møteplasser, kulturtilbud, veiledning m.m. hjelper vi de unge til å oppleve mestring og mening.

Ethical business practices

ØY BY BLÅ KORS strongly believes in social responsible business. It is therefore important for us to take responsibility for all our actions, including the working and environmental situation for those workers taking part in the production of our products.

The suppliers of ØY BY BLÅ KORS must continuously work for the production of goods and services to take place in compliance with internationally recognized and defined standards:

Employment is freely chosen
There shall be no form of forced labour.

The right to organize and to bargain collectively
Workers, without distinction, have the right to join or form trade unions of their own choosing and to bargain collectively.

Child labour
According to the UN Convention of The Rights of Children and ILO Conventions 138 and 182, children under the age of 18 shall not be employed in work that may put their health ore safety in danger, including night work.

No discrimination
There shall no be discrimination based on race, caste, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation.

No harsh or inhumane treatment
Physical abuse or discipline and the threat of physical abuse shall be prohibited.

Safe and hygienic working conditions
A safe and hygienic working environment shall be provided.

Living wage
Wages and benefits paid must meet, at a minimum, national legal standards or industrial benchmark standards, and always be enough to meet basic needs.

Working hours
Working hours shall comply with national laws and benchmark industry standards.

Regular employment
To every extent possible, work performed shall be on the basis of recognized employment relationships that protect the employees’ rights and social security as established through national law and practice.
